Shift2Rail participated in the third edition of the Women in Mobility Luncheon, which provided a platform for leading women in the transport industry to exchange experiences and ideas, connect with others in the industry and discuss professional issues. The event, organised by leading associations, networks and industry partners, drew a large number of female managers, experts in the transport sector and visitors.
At the event, Shift2Rail executive director Carlo Borghini introduced the winning team of the ‘Women in Rail Research & Innovation Award’, which was bestowed by Commissioner for Mobility and Transport Violeta Bulc yesterday at Shift2Rail stand. With this award the Shift2Rail JU has also demonstrated its dedication to honour the work of successful female leaders in the sector.
The Women in Mobility Luncheon was organised to strengthen women’s position in the transport sector. The organising platform aims to increase the presence of women from 20% to 40% by 2020.
