Participate

The Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking has launched its first Call for Proposals for research activities in 2022. All stakeholders (e.g., research community, SMEs, operators, infrastructure managers, manufacturers, integrators, start-ups, etc.) are encouraged to take part and thus contribute to building a more competitive and resource-efficient European mobility and transport system with rail at its core.

Geographical coverage, gender balance, equity creation, synergies, openness are all elements underpinning Europe’s Rail Call for Proposals and its destinations.

Details on the high-level planning of the research and innovation activities of Europe’s Rail are available in section 10 of the Multi-Annual Work Programme.

Participation Rules

Europe’s Rail operates under Horizon Europe rules, observing the principles of openness, transparency and excellence. Participation is open to all entities eligible in accordance with Horizon Europe. The best proposals — evaluated by independent experts — will be proposed for the award of a grant.

Funding and Tender Portal

The EU’s Funding and Tender Portal  is the single entry point that directs users to information on the EU’s funding opportunities and allows also interaction with the European Commission and its Executive Agencies, beyond Europe’s Rail. The portal offers services and tools to facilitate the monitoring and management of all proposals and projects.

All Europe’s Rail Call information and documents are centralised on the Funding and Tender Portal. These include:

  • call description
  • topics and submission service
  • call documents
  • FAQ and support
